Welcome to the story of and pictures from the 2021 project in the village of Slobozia-Sirauti, Moldova.
A small team of 13 UK volunteers and 2 Swedish volunteers travelled over to Moldova for 2 weeks, from 12th August 2021. The team helped to create bathrooms into the school, with the support of local labour. Work had already started prior to the teams arrival, with walls being removed within the school, plastering and floors relayed, preparing the space for the sanitary ware to then be fitted, the water boiler, the toilet cubicles, along with painting and tiling.
Thank you to all those who have donated towards the project. The Mayor of the region has funded the new internal windows and doors.
