JULY 2024 NEWS
Unloading the medical aid, of syringes, needles, gowns etc
TEECH has had a busy few months, with trips into Ukraine, along with charity UK- Aid, as well as juggling the organising and gathering of aid and supplies for the bathroom project in August to Moldova.
The TEECH lorries were used to deliver aid in April to Chernihiv and in June to Chernihiv and Kamianske, the later to deliver medical aid donated by AAH Pharmaceuticals, to two hospitals, along with food and clothing. Thank you to those that helped to raise some funds to get the lorry there. Trips are only possible if funds are made available. It costs approx. £3k per lorry for diesel, customs, insurance, ferry and road tolls.

As we fast approach August, many thanks goes to volunteers raising monies for the main focus of TEECH priorities, the bathroom projects in Bursuceni and Moara de Piatra. Thanks to Barry & Jan, John & Linda and Martin & Sarah for extra fundraising. Once again trips are only possible if the funds are available.
Martin has organised a Pizza afternoon at the Snooty Fox, Gt Bromley. CO7 7JW on Saturday 6th July, from 1pm, where Pizza’s will be made and sold for a donation, raising monies for August. If you are able to make it, pop along and support 😊

The current state of the floor!
Preparation work is well underway in Bursuceni, where the floor in the classroom (where the bathrooms will be created) has been removed, for waste pipes to be installed, then a new flooring to be laid in time for it to dry out and be ready for the team to add a partition wall and all the sanitary ware etc. As well as the new bathrooms, an access door is being created between the kitchen and dining room, where previously the school chef would climb through a window to move between rooms, rather than walk all the way around the outside of the school to use the only doorway.
Look out for a report and pictures from the August trip in September.
