february 2023 NEWSletter
thank you's
We start the February Newsletter with many thanks to those continuing to make cash and aid donations.
The Rotary Club of Harlow Tye for £1,000 following a talk by Barry Howe to the club. These funds have helped fund food for the convoy travelling to the Ukraine this month (see update below).
Billericay Town Rotary Club for £1,000 following the January quiz night, where a few TEECH volunteers made up a team on the night. Thanks go to Nick Lang and Jan Lewis for organising the event and letting TEECH come along and have a go at a few questions! Plus another £350 from a Rotarian on the night.
Billericay Mayflower Rotary club for £700, plus an anonymous donation, from a Rotarian, of £350, all of which bought three pallets of pasta.
Totes Isotoner, Billericay for the donation of slipper sox’s. The picture above shows Jan Howe with the ladies at Totes Isotoner handing over the socks.
Huge thank to Tesco, for the donation of a lorry trailer which TEECH took ownership of this month. The trailer will be key to allow for more aid deliveries, both in the Ukraine and Moldova.
TEECH would like to thank Albea, Colchester for the continual adhoc use of their secure yard to park the lorries as required, which is much needed.

teech & uk aid deliveries to ukraine
TEECH, along with UK Aid, Felsted are taking 2 lorries and 2 vans of aid into the Ukraine during February, to support contacts known to UK Aid in the Chernihiv area (east of Kviv). The aid is in the form of food, clothing, generators, wheelchairs and bedding donated by both charities. UK Aid are funding the cost of transport for the trip, from their very generous supporters.
We wish all those volunteering the best of luck going into the war torn country.
New stickers have been added to the vehicles (see pictures), with thanks once again to Kerron at Signs Made Easy in Clacton for free livery stickers.

moving to harwich.......
TEECH are in the process of packing to move, with the charity moving the storage of aid to Harwich, Essex. After BT gave the charity the boot from the stores in Colchester, we are still looking for a long term solution, but in the interim will be taking up residence with Harwich Cultural & Community Projects, who we are very grateful to for supporting us.
As plans start to take shape for the August project trip to Moldova, TEECH will require good quality clothing (for ladies, men and children) for the villages in which volunteers visit can benefit. Please continue to donate.

clothing required for charity shop
The charity shop in Harwich (on the corner of Mill Lane and High Street, CO12 3PA) has now been open for two months and continues to do well. To retain footfall the shop requires good quality clothing, especially for ladies and children, along with children’s toys. If you are able to donate and can deliver items, then please pop by and say Hi to the HCCP volunteers running the shop.
milo the moose
For those who viewed the Christmas trip photos and the adventures of Milo the Moose, we have a few further photos of him with Anastasiia in Ukraine, as she continues her medical studies in the city of Chernivtsi.
