newsletter MAY 2018
summer project progress
We would like to thank suppliers and donors who are being very generous towards the 2018 project, to create the bathrooms as shown above:
We currently have a large quantity of wheelchairs, walking frames and other mobility aids, therefore we do not need any more for this particular trip. If you are looking to donate then good quality children's clothing are still required.
Ideally we would like to pack clothing into banana boxes, therefore if you are able to obtain some of these and can get them to us in Colchester, Essex that would be ideal. Send your donations through in them!
As mentioned last month we require large vacuum pack bags as we have alot of duvets to pack, therefore if you come across any please send them our way!
If you would like to make any donations then please ensure they are sent through from now until the end of May as time is tight for us to sort and pack everything.
- BT Fleet for the loan of two lorries making the trip possible. Without these the aid and bathroom supplies would not be able to be taken over to Moldova.
- John McPherson who kindly pulled together the layout plans (translating our sketches) for the new bathrooms
- Sato in Harwich who have donated a fridge, filing cabinets and toilet partitions.
- Altro Ltd who are once again donating a large quantity of lino for the flooring in the bathrooms and kitchen of the school.
- Jacksons Coaches who are hiring a coach to the charity, allowing the team to travel overland with supplies.
- Saffron Walden Rotary Club and Physionet for numerous wheelchairs.
- A large quantity of stationary from a lady in Suffolk, which we will split and donate to the school in Hasnasenii Noi and the one in Lazo, plus enough to donate to a school in Romania which TEECH has been supporting for over 10 years.
- Brightwell who are doating two soap dispeners for the new bathrooms.
- Volunteers and many of you who have donated clothing, toys, blankets and many more items, which we have gathered together ready for us to distribute to the village.
