august project plans
Welcome to the latest news from TEECH.
The TEECH August trip this year will be to the villages of Moara de Piatra & Bursuceni in the Drochia & Singherei districts. Volunteers will get stuck in and create bathrooms as usual but we think the outside toilets in these villages are some of the worse TEECH has seen for a fair few years. Pictures above show the current outdoor toilets.
Both schools will require septic tanks, which the charity will purchase in the UK and transport to Moldova, as the quality of the tanks is better than can be obtained locally. TEECH has been lucky with financial support for the tanks, from Ipswich Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Mayflower Billericay. THANK YOU

To create the bathrooms, other supplies will be required, and we wondered if anyone would like to donate towards a particular item, or make a general donation.
These are the key items:

Currently TEECH are gathering clothing donations, therefore if you have any you would like to donate, please pass them to us, from now through to the end of June. It takes time to sort donations, pack them and get them loaded onto the lorries, therefore the earlier we have items this really helps. Clothing needs to be clean and in good condition, and can be for men, women or children. We will also take bedding, towels, tea towels etc.
These are the key items:
- Hand Driers
- Toilet Cubicles
- Plumbing supplies - copper pipe and fittings
- Boiler to provide hot water to the sinks in Bursuceni
- Stripe lighting for both school bathrooms and other electrical supplies
- Tiles for sink splash backs
- Tiles for the flooring
- External waste pipes
