JUNE 2022 NEWSLETTER
FURTHER AID SOON TO BE ON ROUTE TO MOLDOVA
June brings another TEECH trip over to Moldova, this time with two lorries, the charities van and two ambulances. The trip is possible with the ongoing support from UK-Aid, Felsted who have helped TEECH to purchase an artic unit (pictured above).
The yellow ambulance has been purchased and donated by Harwich Cultural & Community Partnership, and the plan is for it to be used to travel back and forth from Moldova / Ukraine, helping to pick up those needing medical attention. Once the use for the Ambulance comes to an end for this particular purpose (we hope sooner rather than later), then it will be donated to Briceni Hospital in the northern part of Moldova.
The white ambulance has been purchased and donated jointly by Sri Sathya Sai Organisation UK and Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Foundation, Inc., USA and will also be used to support the transport of Ukrainian refugees.
Two defibrillators have been purchased, one for each ambulance using funds donated by Yorkshire companies, Yambits, Richardson & Charltons.
The aid (clothing, bedding, nappies, incontinence pads, toiletries, bikes and more) in the lorries has come from many of you donating to TEECH, UK-Aid and also the MegaCentre in Rayleigh, Essex. Thanks once again goes to all those continuing to help and support. Food has kindly been donated by the ACT Foundation.
TEECH have been generously donated £4,000 from the Comasonic Benevolent Fund, along with a further £2,000 from Nordomatic, Sweden, following an application for support made by Carita Jansson, who has volunteered on two TEECH summer project trips. Yorkshire to Ukraine have also generously donated to TEECH over the last few months. The funding is being used to help transport the aid and in support of the Ukraine crisis.
The June trip starts on the 19th June for 2 weeks, and we will report in July on deliveries and future support for further trips and aid requirements.
