project 2019 progress update
There is now only two months to go before a team of 35+ volunteers travel across to Moldova for the summer project. Volunteers will be travelling from across the UK and from Stockholm, Sweden.
TEECH would like to thank all those who have donated clothing for the free shop which will be set up in Plop-Stiubei for the villagers. There are over 700 boxes of aid ready to be loaded, including clothing and bed linen, along with wheelchairs, walking aids, trampolines, commodes, simmer frames and much more!
Work starts at the end of June at the school, to remove and replace windows in the room where the bathrooms will be created. The windows are being funded by the Mayor, Iurie Barcari and TEECH volunteers are funding the labour, installation and making good of the surrounds. The preparation is important to make the room water tight, fit for the new facilities which will be installed. The school will also organise for a water source to be connected to the room, where the charity can then connect into and fund heating for the rooms.
The team are now finalising the supplies for the project, with sanitary ware, plumbing and electrical equipment to purchase.
Any donations now sent through will be stored for either the Christmas or next summers trip.

oasis academy, immingham
The Oasis Academy in Immingham, NE Lincolnshire, has partnered with the village school in Hasnasenii Noi, Moldova, the location of the 2018 TEECH summer project. A team of 40+ volunteers spent two weeks at the school in 2018 creating bathrooms for the children, along with donating clothing, toys and food to the village. One volunteer put the Oasis academy in contact with the director, Natalia in Hasnasenii Noi and they have been gathering aid and fundraising, to help support the children over 1,500 miles away. The picture below shows some of the children at the Academy with donations of stationery.
bolduresti 2015
Four years have passed since TEECH volunteers were with Nadejda, the director of the school In Bolduresti, Moldova. A recent visit by TEECH supporter Romeo in Moldova, shows that the bathrooms are still in good condition and have been repainted and improved further over the last few years. The girls bathroom has been freshened up with new paint and the boys bathroom has a tiled floor and walls, but the toilet facilities remain as TEECH installed. The murals on the dining room wall look as bright and cheerful as they did in 2015.
TEECH annually visit prior projects to ensure they are maintained by the schools and provide support with broken or replacement parts if required.

future requests
Thinking ahead to future years, toilet cubicle dividers are now needed. For a few years TEECH have managed with a stock of dividers purchased from a night club and also some acquired free, but now more are required for 2020. It is proved to be one of the hardest items to source, therefore we will be spreading the word early. Generally, a row of 4/5 would be required for a girl’s bathroom and 2/3 for a boy’s bathroom.
