newsletter November 2019
Christmas shoebox appealTEECH would like to thank those who have sent through shoeboxes and food so far.
Volunteers have been beavering away sorting everything out, ready for loading the 2 lorries for Christmas. The charity would like to thank the Sathya Sai International Organisation, the Leicester Centre and Region 2 UK who are both collecting and donating food for the Christmas trip. The food will be donated to poorer and elderly families in Moldova, door to door by volunteers. New TEECH volunteers Barry & Jan Howe, who are joining TEECH for the Christmas trip, have also donated food. Please get in touch if you are doing boxes with a group and can gauge numbers, so we know how many we might expect to receive and to find out how to send the boxes through to the charity (if you have not done so in the past). Please ensure your boxes reach us by the end of November at the latest. As each box arrives it will be allocated to a school. The charity asks for £1 per box to help with the cost of transportation. All donations can be made through Wonderful. |

joe - well done and thank you
From August to December Joseph Pickwell-Smith has given up drinking fizzy drinks to raise money for TEECH. For those who know Joe, they will know how much he loves a Coke!
Joe has so far raised an amazing £670 for the charity, which will go along way to helping others. Joe has been a volunteer on two TEECH August project trips and plans to come on many more. In the picture you can see Joe smashing the loud clothing night, on the August trip. If you would like to sponsor Joe, then this can be done through his page on Wonderful: |
thank you bob parfitt
TEECH have known Bob Parfitt of Refugee Relief since 2011. Every year since a large amount of the clothing (and other) donations have come from Bob to the charity. Bob is now retiring from gathering large amounts of aid, for numerous charities, and taking aid himself to Croatia and Ukraine after 25 years. TEECH would like to thank Bob for all his generosity over the years and friendship.
