DECEMBER NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the new look website and newsletter. TEECH have redesigned their website and each month you will receive an email to indicate the newsletter is on here for browsing. We ask that you take a few minutes after reading this to have a look around the website…check out the photos….see what we say about TEECH and its fabulous volunteers….then drop us a line to let us know what you think. We would appreciate feedback – what you like/dislike/what you cant find/where we can improve, so that we can develop the site further.
SHOEBOX APPEAL
As you will have read in our previous newsletters we are in the middle of the shoebox appeal. I ask you all to consider making up a box or two before the 14th December, knowing that we will deliver them to someone who really has very little. If you don’t think you have time, then why not consider a food parcel instead….these can be made up for as little as £6 and items bought whilst you do your usual food shop.
All boxes can be dropped off around the country at BT depots, so just let me know where you are and I’ll let you know where to drop them.
If you have already contacted me and are making up boxes don’t forget to drop them at your local BT depot in the next week or so. They can take about a week to get from you to us therefore early drop off is helpful. We would like to thank
all those who have done and plan to do boxes, without you we would not be able to share a bit of Christmas with the children and families we visit.

Hats and smiles!
Thank you to those that also take time to knit and donate hats which we also hand out whilst on the trip. This face says it all in my opinion.
christmas fair
TEECH are holding a stall at the BT Christmas Fair at Adastral Park on Monday 3rd December. Watch out for an update about how we got on in January.
THANK YOU
We would like to thank you all for your help and support during 2012 where we have achieved so much once again, especially in the summer when we carried out another project installing much needed toilet facilities at a school in Moldova. The project cost was £6,784 to complete and we raised just over £5,000, showing that we are struggling to meet our expenditure needs, therefore we still require your help and ideas for the future. Look out for additional information which we will be putting on the website showing where your money goes, so you can really get a feel for how you are helping.
2013
The January Newsletter will launch the 2013 project, which we will identify whilst on the Christmas Trip. If you are considering volunteering in August 2013 we would like to hear from you. It’s always good to start your fundraising for the trip early and share your ideas for fundraising so let us know what you are up to or what others can maybe help you with and we can feature them in our newsletters.

books
TEECH have numerous second hand books which we were selling for rag to raise much needed funds but the company doing this does not collect in our area anymore. If you know of an outlet for books where we can pass them on (ideally for cash) then please let us know.
get involved
Our packing days are once a month at our storage building in the village of Thorndon, IP23 7JG. Our next date is the 15th December from 9.30am and then we will be lorry/van loading for the Christmas Trip on the 28th December if you can spare an hour or two to come along and help.
