"Helping those less fortunate create a better future for themselves"

Psychiatric hospital, Balti, moldova

TEECH has been supporting the hospital in Moldova's second largest city for a few years, providing beds, wheelchairs, mattresses and other supplies. After visiting the psychiatric ward of the hospital, volunteers have seen conditions in which the gentlemen are living. The ward is in extremely poor condition which none of us would wish upon anyone.

The charity will be supporting work at the hospital to provide washing and toilet facilities because the current facilities are inhumane.

There are three projects:
1.
to provide the patients with toilets
2. to provide a toilet for the staff,
3. to provide the patients with a bath/showers
Total Cost Approx €15,145

Good news update: All three projects now have funding and work should be completed over the coming months.

The pictures below show the current conditions......
scroll down further to see work started on the projects
More photos will be added below as work progresses - work started w/c 25th June 2018.
It is now October 2018 and not only are the patient toilets completed but also their sinks and shower room for them to use.
The next task is to create a small toilet/sink room for the staff on the ward.
