summer project
In August the charity will be carrying out a project in the village of Sturzeni, northern Moldova. The school in the village has no internal toilet facilities, just the usual ‘outhouse’ with just two ‘holes in the ground’. As well as no indoor toilets, there are no hand washing facilities. The picture to the right above, shows one of the outside toilets.
A team of volunteers will create two new bathrooms, following the same format as in prior years, installing toilets, with cubicles, sinks, hand driers, new lighting, lino for the floor, tiling and painting walls. The school will work in preparation for the teams arrival, replacing some of the windows and creating a door way into the room. With the schools involvement it will be a community effort to complete the project.
On the run up to June we will be gathering donations to take for the villagers, as well as the school, therefore if you have any good quality clothing (ladies, men or children’s) then please sent this through to us. We ask that the clothing is in good condition and is clean and ask for donations by June, at the latest, to ensure we have time to sort and pack them.

moldovan volunteers
We have now added a page to the website to feature our Moldovan volunteers. The page currently has comments from Vlad as he describes first getting involved with the charity and the continued support he provides to us on each trip to Moldova. The page will be updated soon for Iulia and Diana who some of you will know from the last couple of years.
donation of €1,000 to moldovan project
TEECH will be making a donation to another project in Moldova being carried out by Romeo Cucireav. Romeo has been known to and supported TEECH for many years, whilst the charity has been completing projects in Moldova. The cash donation will be to purchase new windows for a kindergarden, which is used for children with special needs (including downs syndrome). TEECH would like to thank supporters and volunteers for raising funds to allow this to happen. We look forward to providing an update to this project later in the year.
