preparation at the school
The school in Ivancea are working hard to prepare the rooms for our arrival. Not only have they been knocking walls down, they are also filling in doorways which wont be required - see pictures above. We understand that the teachers and locals in the village are all pitching in to get the work done. TEECH are looking forward to getting out there in August, meeting these motivated people and giving them the bathrooms they require, would like and will really appreciate.
our supporters
Continuing our theme from last month to thank those donating supplies for the trip, free of charge or giving the charity generous discounts are:
Hunters Plastics for a vast amount of pipe work for the toilets and outside sewerage which will connect the school to a septic tank.
Bristan for supplying 14 pairs of taps for the sinks we will be installing.
Drain Depot for providing a good price on the septic tank.
Trade Aid for donating boxes full of equipment that an individual can use to set up work or help with working already being undertaken, i.e. plumber, electrician or carpenter. We will be taking these to Ivancea and finding suitable homes for the items.
Toughook for donating colourful plastic hooks which we can put in the bathrooms or else where in the school, for the children to use to hang coats etc.
Brightwell for donating soap dispensers for the bathrooms.
Clacton bathroom supplies for another great price for all the sanitary ware.
Kesgrave Carpets for the floor adhesive free of charge, once again.
Thank you also to those who've have taken the time to find items for the charity and send them through to us.
Stuart Road Primary School in Plymouth, who held a mufti day where all the children bought in clothing and toys. Mary Camplin who regularly gathers items for TEECH on her travels in Suffolk looking for suitable clothing, toys or mobility aids. Bob Parfitt of Refugee relief for continuing to donate lots of new clothing to us and many other items.
We would also like to thank this years volunteers who have gathered clothing together ready to take to Moldova.

dentaid
Last month we told you about the charity DentAid taking a trip to Moldova to see for themselves the situation with dentistry in the country. We have now received an account of their trip:
The team flew from Stansted over to Chisinau, the Moldovan capital and then travelled onto the town of Nisporeni. Nisporeni is where Stan is based, the dentist known to TEECH and the key link between our two charities.
DentAid spent time visiting schools with Moldovan dentists to see what work they do. They supported dental health talks and demonstrations on tooth brushing. Tooth brushes and tooth paste was also handed out to the children.
The team were surprised by the old fashioned dental equipment they have to use in Moldova and aim to send over up to date equipment in the coming 12 months, plus look to visit with another team of dentists in early 2017.
At the end of their stay the team reported on the very warm welcome they received from their hosts and the generosity of them wanting to feed then (alot) and show them their country. They just wish they'd had more time!
