july 2013 newsletter
July see the TEECH team running round like headless chicken's preparing for the August trip. With only a few weeks to go, all the plans are falling into place and final items are being purchased. The next packing day is on the 13th July and then the lorry load is on the 3rd August. Lorry loading for the trip is a big task therefore if you can spare a few hours please come along on the 3rd to lend a hand......and we might even make you a cup of tea!
Michaela and Amy Edgar, who are volunteering on our 2013 trip, organised a charity gig on the 16th June at the New Cross Inn in London which we featured last month. The gig was a great success and then they went onto do a bucket collection at Canary Wharf tube station on the 3rd July where they raised over £590. Fellow 2013 volunteer Daniel Cochrane also helped out at the station.
TEECH would like to thank both ladies for all their hard work.
TEECH would like to take the opportunity to thank all the suppliers, volunteers and others for helping towards making this summer trip happen. To see a list of those companies helping and supporting us please click here.
